TASER International, Inc. Appoints Deloitte & Touch LLP as Independent Auditor
SCOTTSDALE, AZ., June 7, 2002 – TASER International, Inc. (Nasdaq: TASR & TASRW), a provider of
advanced less-lethal weapons for use in the law enforcement, private security and personal defense markets,
announced today that the Board of Directors has appointed Deloitte & Touche LLP as the Company’s independent
auditor, replacing Arthur Andersen LLP.
The appointment of Deloitte & Touch was made after careful consideration by the Company’s Board of Directors,
Audit Committee and management, as developments regarding Andersen external to the Company have emerged.
The appointment will be finalized after completion of the customary client acceptance procedures required by
Deloitte & Touche, which management believes will be completed within the next ten days. This appointment
concludes an extensive evaluation process. The Board of Directors believes the change to be in the best interests of
TASER and its stockholders.
The decision to change auditors was not the result of any disagreement between TASER and Andersen on any
matter of accounting principle or practices, financial statement disclosure, or auditing scope or procedure.
