Dear Chairman Genachowski,
I hope this brief note finds you well.
I have received the "phone justice campaign" flyer and I too find the impact of the phone
fees a hardship.
My husband and I are retired Senior Citizens on a budget, and its difficult trying
to make ends meet these days. One of the joys that I find is receiving calls from my Son
but they need to be cut short because of the phone fees.

Dear Chairman Genachowski:
The high cost of the telephone service discourages me to
call home because a 15 minute call costs over $5 which is
economically crippling. The Penna. Department of Corrections has
a classification policy to send inmates as far away from their
home region as possible to discourage flow of contraband through
visitors. As a result, my long distance call costs too much for
regular calling to home, which separates me from my good ties to
my community.
I earn top pay of 42¢ per hour in prison labor and
inmate accounts takes 20% of all monies and applies it towards
fines and court costs by statute.
Making pennies for hard labor
minus deductions and necessities through the commissary, I can't
call my morn to tell her that I am doing okay to calm her worries
with the importance of hearing my voice.
Please consider a prisoner and their families circumstances
when deciding the WRIGHT Peti tion, a person should be able to
afford to call their mother while we are all still together here
on this Earth. Thank you for your time and consideration.
