KEMPF Director Memo To: IDOC Inmates From: Jeff Zmuda, ChiefofPrisons Date: December 31, 2015 Re: COLD CASE PLAYING CARDS The Idaho Department ofCorrection hopes you will help solve some Idaho mysteries. On the week ofJanuary 4, IDOC will introduce COLD CASE PLAYING CARDS into IDOC prisons and reentry centers statewide. Each card features an unsolved Idaho crime or missing person and asks anyone with information to call a COLD CASE TIPLINE. IDOC partnered with East Idaho Cold Cases to make the cards happen. The non-profit prepared the cards, and IDOC is making them available to you for purchase through Keefe Commissary. Effective January 1, 2016, the COLD CASE CARDS will be the only poker deck available and will sell for $2.00 per deck. This is below our cost to print these cards. We'll also provide each dayroom with a deck ofCOLD CASE cards for free. These cards may not be removed from the dayrooms. The COLD CASE tip line number is 1-844-TIP-4040. The call is free and anonymous, but only for cold case tips. Inmates are allowed to call this special COLD CASE TIP LINE with information to help solve these crj�es. The tip line is to be used only for COLD CASE TIPS. Inmates using it for other purposes will be held accountable ifwe receive reports ofimptoper tip line use. Ifyou have information to help solve a cold case you can also submit via a concern form, or talk with an officer. Facilities will ensure the information is referred to the agency handling all tips.
