The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (“the Department”) has received
your request under the Public Information Act (“PIA”), Md. Code Ann., Gen. Prov. (“GP”) §4101–4-601, for the following records:
1. A roster of current law enforcement officers in the state. We are seeking the name, rank, agency and date of birth
for each officer, as well as any other information included in the listing.
2. A listing of status changes for all law enforcement officers in the state. This would include resignations,
retirements, terminations, etc. We are seeking the name, rank, agency and date of birth for each officer, as well as
any other information included in the listing.
3. A listing of all sworn law enforcement officers disciplined in the state. This would include actions ranging from
suspension to termination. We are seeking records that show each officer’s name, rank, agency and date of birth, as
well as any other information included in the listing.
4. A listing of law enforcement officers certified to work in the state. We are seeking records including, but not
limited to, the name, rank, agency and date of birth for each officer, as well as any other information included in the
listing.
5. A listing of law enforcement officers whose certification was revoked. We are seeking records including, but not
limited to, the name, rank, agency and date of birth for each officer, as well as any other information included on the
listing.

I have attached documents responsive to your request under items #1 and #4.
Items #2 and #3: We have no documents responsive to your request. The Commission does not
receive or maintain any such records.

review under GP § 4-362.
