‘Criminal Legal News’ Magazine Started by Paul Wright

Paul Wright, the Florida-based editor of Prison Legal News and director of the Human Rights Defense Center, has started a new monthly publication, Criminal Legal News.Wright says the publication, which has published its first issue, will cover civil rights litigation against police and prosecutors, criminal defense law and procedure, and sentencing, death penalty and parole issues. The inaugural issue features a story headlined, “Absurd, Abusive, and Outrageous: The Creation of Crime and Criminals in America.”

Prison Legal News will continue covering news about detention facilities and court rulings, Wright says. A one-year subscription to Criminal Legal News is $48 for individuals and $96 for “professionals/legal/institutions.”
